AccommodationLes Bois is located on the road between Lanhelin and Tournebride, just a two minute walk from one of the major leisure attractions in the area, Cobac Parc. It is located in the countryside in a small hamlet, but is not isolated. A car is required to enjoy the surrounding countryside. It is a two bedroom cottage, which sleeps two adults and two children, there is an additional annex with a double, spring action sofa bed if required. The main sitting room, with open plan kitchen and dining area has Sky TV (free view), DVD player, Video player and French TV. It is furnished to a very high standard with two leather two-seat sofas and a large dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, four ring electric cooker with grill and full size oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. Crockery, glassware, picnicware, pans and cookware, cutlery and utensils are also provided. There is a spiral staircase (lit by LCD lights in the treads) to the first floor. The master bedroom with double bed has access from a door leading to the balcony, furnished with table and chairs, which overlooks the gardens. The bathroom offers a shower, wc and wash basin and is heated with undertile heating. The second bedroom contains full size bunk beds and is suitable for up to two children, for the smaller child a cot is also available, as is a baby bath which fits inside the shower cublcle. We can also provide a highchair and baby stroller. The property stands in extensive gardens with fishing pond, which of course guests can fish, (fully enclosed for the safety of guests/children). The owners keep their own chickens and fresh eggs are available on request. There is a three metre by two metre plunge pool for the children, along with a sandpit, garden swing, seesaw, and climbing ropes. There are also plenty of indoor games, videos, DVD's and books, should they be required. A gas barbecue is available free of charge, with the patio and gardens offering an ideal setting or an al fresco meal. For the adults, there is a Hot Tub/Spa to wind down and relax after an exhausting day sightseeing, perhaps after the children have retired. Included in the accommodation rental is all bedding, with a weekly change of linen. Tea towels, hand towels, bath towels and beach towels are also included. The RegionThe village of Lanhelin is 2kms from Les Bois, it has two bars, La Belle Etoille and Le Gerani, they both do a good lunch for around 10 euros including wine, La Belle Etoille also serve bar snacks and pizzas in the evening and at weekend. There is a Minimarket directly facing Le Gerani, they sell a good range of fresh produce, including milk, meat and fruit and vegetables. There is a post office in the village which opens in the morning only, except for Monday (when all the businesses in the village also close). There is a garage which serves unleaded and diesel fuel. The Granite Garden in the village is worth a visit, as is the church, which is normally left open. Cobac Parc is a two minute walk from Les Bois, visit www.cobac-parc.com leaflets with details of the attractions at the park are also available at Les Bois. Further afield is Dol de Bretagne, with a market on Saturday morning. There is also a chateau at Dol, Les Ormes, it has horse riding, swimming pools and lots of other attractions, including a splendid golf course. For golfers, there are three superb golf courses in the immediate area, St Malo Golf Club, Le Tronchet has an 18 hole and a 9 hole course, Des Ormes, Dol de Bretagne has an 18 hole course and a pitch and putt. Dinard Golf Club is an 18 hole links course (not for the faint hearted). Further afield there is a 9 hole course at Tremerauc, which of course you can go round twice! We have Golf clubs and trolleys available to hire. Mens right and left handed clubs, Ladies right handed only and also a set of children's clubs, right handed. Combourg is the closest large town, (8kms) the market is on Monday morning. You will also find Super-U and Intermarche supermarkets, which both stay open over the lunch period. Hede is another local beauty spot and has a wonderful walk along the canal at les onze ecluse. Dinan is an historic fortified town and has a port on the river Rance. During the summer months a little train runs from the Rue de l'Horloge to the Port de Dinan. At Pleugueneuc there is a chateau and zoo with many interesting activities and attractions www.labourbansais.com. On the coast St Malo is a walled city and has some wonderful restaurants, a walk around the ramparts is a must. Dinard, St Briac and St Lunaire are all not to be missed, with fabulous beaches. For a longer drive, Mont St Michel is lovely, but always very crowded in the summer months. There are guide books in the cottage to help you to decide where to visit.
