Description

This beautiful house can easily accommodate a family of 8 or 2 family's sharing, having 2 large double bedrooms, each of which can take a put-u-up or two, plus in the large lounge there are 3 sofas, one of which doubles as a double bed. There is a very well equipped kitchen complete with fridge, freezer, cooker, washing machine and breakfast bar, and also on the ground floor there is a dining room and a bathroom/WC. Back on the upper floor, there is also a shower room/WC.
There is plenty of space outside for the children to let off steam should you decide to stay at the hamlet for the day, but, there are miles of beautiful coastline within easy reach (nearest beach is 25 minutes) as well as other attractions be it country walks, theme parks or water sports you require.
The RN12 is only 15 minutes drive from where you can head in any direction coastwise, and just 20 minutes drive south and you are in central Brtittany.
The nearest town for shopping is 10 minutes away

Location

Northern Brittany offers tranquil countryside yet only a short drive will take you to miles of beautiful coastline. Our cottage is set in rural Brittany between Guingamp and Corlay with easy links to St.Malo and Roscoff ports, located on the border of northern and central Brittany. Ideal for sightseeing, walking, cycling, and fishing, there is everything within easy reach. 2 lakes for swimming or fishing are nearby. One is a short walk, another easily reached by bike, famously a base for the French Risistance. For the Salmon lover, the river Triuex runs along the boundary of the commune. Brittany's largest man-made lake, Guerledan, is only 30 minutes drive, offering a sandy beach for very safe swimming, watersports, woodland routes, as well as pedallo, kayake, boat and cycle hire. The beautiful "Cote de Granite Rose" and "Cote d'Emeralde" stretches along the northern coast of Brittany, offering miles of beaches to keep the family happy, and only a short drive away, with free and easy parking! Binic is a particular favourite of ours with its 2 sandy beaches, rock pools, harbour, shops,bars and restaurants.
St.Brieuc is only 30 minutes away town and has plenty of shopping on offer, quaint restaurants, cinema, bowling alley, outdoor swimming pool, bars and a harbour. Guingamp, Quintin and Corlay are picturesque historic towns, with their weekly markets and lovely architecture they are well worth a visit. All within 20 minutes drive.
Guingamp and Quintin also have indoor swimming pools. There is also an outdoor swimming pool at St.Nicholas du Pelem which is only 15 minutes away. There are numerous activity parks, zoos, aquariums and attractions for a family holiday, includung quad circuits, paintballing and karting circuits.

Accommodation

The house is set over two floors, there are 2 entrance doors, one into the dining room off of which is the bathroom with bath, WC and basin, then there is a door into the kitchen. The other entrance door leads into the kitchen, this is light and airy and very well equipped. From here there is a door into the large lounge which has a feature fireplace with a woodburner and patio doors onto the terrace and back garden. There are 3 sofas, one of which converts into a double bed, there is also a TV and DVD player. Back into the kitchen, there is spiral staircase that leads onto the large landing, this has a velux window fitted with a view to the rear, there is a decent size shower room with WC and basin and 2 large double bedrooms, there is space in either for a put-u-up and/or cot.
