Beautiful rural location
For people wanting a taste of true French village life
Suitable for 4 people this pretty detached cottage has a
safe, enclosed garden and is close to the thriving village of Merdrignac.
Centrally located 30 minutes South/North of the medieval
towns of Dinan and Josselin, this traditional detached cottage overlooks
fields down to the pretty village of Merdrignac which is a 10 minute walk
or 3 minute drive away, and is on the edge of the Foret Hardouinais. The
town of Merdrignac has supermarkets, bars, restaurants, shops as well
as a public swimming pool with slides, a large park area with lake, fishing
and tennis facilities.Water sports are available on the nearby forest
lake in summer. It is ideally situated for visiting most of Brittany -
the coasts to the North being an hour away and Carnac to the South and
hour and a quarter.
The ground floor comprises of a large open plan room with comfortable seating, wood burner and a dining table with seating for 6 people. There is a TV for DVDs only and a selection of DVDs and CDs. The kitchen area is separated by a breakfast bar and has a cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer and double sink.
On the second floor is a landing area with access to a large bathroom with WC, hand basin and walk in shower. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and wardrobe with stunning views through a low window across the fields to the village (lovely when laying in bed on a morning!)
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and 1 pull out camp bed (suitable for a child) as well as a wardrobe.
All the rooms are heated by electric heaters.
The front of the house has a large patio area with an open wood burner and table and chairs for 6 people. To the side of the house is a safe, enclosed garden with off road parking for 2 cars (extra parking outside the house). There is a selection of garden games, toys, wind breaks, beach chairs and 2 tents in the 2 large sheds at the top of the garden, as well as a supply of wood for which there is a small charge.
Bed linen and towels can be provided for a completely
hassle free holiday.
