This well equipped and comfortably furnished semi detached cottage, at one end of the owner’s longere, sleeps up to 4/6 non smokers. It is tastefully decorated and offers a warm welcome. There is plenty of rural character featuring exposed stone walls, oak beams and a wood burning stove, combined with all the modern essentials.
The cottage is 14kms from the historic market town of
Chateaubriant, so, plenty of shops including 3 hypermarkets and several
good restaurants are less than 15 minutes by car.
Locally, you can sample the vast selection of cheese, crepes, galettes,
cider and wines and of course the famous Chateaubriand Steak.
In the region there are nearby forests and lakes with safe man-made beaches, providing swimming, watersports, cycling and walking trails. There is a good selection of golf courses, fishing lakes, riding stables as well as Ten Pin Bowling and Go Karting, swin and crazy golf.
The cottage provides an excellent base for touring the Loire Valley,
with its magnificent chateaux and famous vineyards. The larger towns
of Angers, Nantes and Rennes are all approximately an hour’s
drive, and the coast is about an hour and half’s drive.
Downstairs is a spacious, bright and airy open plan
lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area, with satellite television,
dvd player, cd/radio has two large comfortable settees. Heating is
provided by a wood burning stove as well as electric radiators. There
are some books and maps on the area and a selection of novels. The
kitchen area is fully equipped and includes a gas cooker, microwave,
toaster, fridge/freezer, washing machine, fondue and raclette sets.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has a
double bed and a sofa bed and the other has a double bed and a single
bed. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Bed linen, quilts,(king size on the double beds) and towels are provided.
There is off road parking.
